The beloved parent/caregiver + child mixed age class setting is one that a child can attend all the way from birth to Kindergarten, rotating through all 12 of our beautifully published song collections including summers. This highly engaging class follows the recommendations of child development researchers – that grouping children of a variety of ages fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because all the young children in their family can go to class together and richly benefit from the experience. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments.
